The day karl was right...

Stumpy and i met up to go for a 3 hour ride on sunday. As we drove out to the crossroads there wasnt a flake of snow in the air. We unloaded and headed out onto the highway. Just before we hit the base snow really started to come down. Stumpy decides to inform me that we have a winter weather warning. Stumpy also told me this was the first time Karl was right on anything(weather man). This is good thing to know when you are already 45 mins into the ride. We decide to push on thru the falling flakes of snow. Soon it was where you couldnt tell where the shoulder was on the road. Then a little later then that you couldnt trust where you thought the shoulder should be due to ice and such. Stumpy kept informing me on downhills and cars passing us that we were going to die. But yet everytime he informed me of this he seemed to ramp up the speed considerably. Its never a dull moment when you ride with stumpy. Luckly we made it home with only one crash(stumpy racing for sign so he claims again). we didnt make the 3 hours but just over 2 which wasnt bad for riding in a fresh 4inches of snow.
